I am Neeraj, the founder and principal of RDY.
I’m a Chartered Accountant based in Auckland, with over eight years’ experience across a range of accounting roles. I became a qualified Chartered Accountant in 2021, but my interest in numbers goes beyond compliance. I’m genuinely interested in how businesses operate and how good financial information supports better decisions.

My career has progressed through three key stages. I spent five years at PwC New Zealand in Financial Assurance, building a strong technical foundation and working with large, complex organisations. I then moved into industry, first as a Senior Financial Accountant at Sanford Ltd, and later as Financial Controller at Fresh Taste Sweets and Snacks Limited. These roles gave me practical, hands‑on experience supporting business owners and leadership teams with day‑to‑day financial decision‑making.

I’ve worked with businesses ranging from large New Zealand companies to small, family‑run operations, and I understand how overwhelming accounting can feel when you’re wearing multiple hats. I’ve also seen how powerful it is when the numbers are clear and start working for the business, not against it.

I have experience across the Retail, FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Video Game Development and Media industries and I particularly enjoy working with people who are passionate about what they’re building.

Why RDY?
Over the course of my career, I have worked with both large organisations and small businesses. The more time I spent in small business, the more I saw a consistent problem: access to experienced, practical accountants was often out of reach.

I've seen many situations where clean numbers and the right analysis of those numbers could have helped business owners make informed decisions and plan their next steps. Instead, many were forced to operate with limited visibility, effectively running blind. That frustration stayed with me.

As the child of two immigrants who spent their lives running small businesses, I have a deep appreciation for the challenges faced by small and medium‑sized enterprises. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, yet they rarely receive the level of financial support and insight that larger organisations take for granted.
